Iced Tea Fun/ Just Peachy

Because it's summer and I want to do what I want and will get to specific reviews in a bit. I JUST WANT TO MAKE FANTASTIC ICED TEAS.

So this one has a tiny bit of Pink Lemonade, a sample packet of Mango Fruit Punch, a spoonful of Honeydew Mate (which I cannot find on the site right now...so it may have been discontinued?), and like 5-7 spoonfuls of Just Peachy.

I steeped it for like...5 minutes? Then poured it into my amazing plastic jug (I actually put a large DT filter in the top while pouring it, to make sure I got any particles), with some ice, and stuck it in the fridge to fully cool.

Now. Now I drink it.

And it tastes good, very peachy. Next time I make it I'm adding a lot more Just Peachy and Pink Lemonade though! This time it literally tasted of just Just Peachy, which is still very awesome, but also not as strong as I wanted (I added too much ice I think).

Do it, mix it, match it. Let me know your results! I added some ginger ale when I was nearing the end, and wham bam! It's even better!

Main Squeeze

Main Squeeze from DT

Ingredients: Green yerba maté, candied papaya, pineapple, safflower, natural flavouring*.   Contains sulfites

I drink this tea EVERY. DAY that I go to work. It is the first thing that I do before getting myself set up at my desk; prepare my tea.

Every morning I put a generous perfect spoonful of main squeeze in to a DavidsTea draw-string tea bag, wrap the string around the top to secure it, and pull off the tab. Why? Because I keep that sucker in the water the ENTIRE TIME, so this prevents the water climbing up the string and dripping all over the edge of my mug.

No steep time, it sits in the water and stays there.
The key is to just let it sit, I swear.

No, it is not over powering. It is perfect. I have never had a single cup where I have found the flavour too strong, AND it stays strong enough for at least a second cup. Perhaps even a third. (Honestly, I tend to get so busy that I get half way through my mug by the time my tea gets cold so I just top it off)

This tea is my coffee.

Only it tastes a million times better. I hate coffee, it's bitter, overwhelming, and it lingers like tribbles.

This tea is fruity, mostly a papaya flavour, with a nice strong base of the mate. I really enjoy the taste, and it has the wonderful added bonus of giving you that much-needed jolt on a weekday morning.

I recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants a tea that isn't black for their wake-up.

Happy Steeping,

Around the World: Main Squeeze

Ah, a Mate tea. The stimulant of the tea world.

This morning, I absolutely need it. It's a 'why do I have to get out of bed" day. Which, on a workday? Yeah, not a good thing. It's gross and cold out no I didn't write this in March. Don't judge me

This is my first time trying this tea, so yay for surprises!
This tea smells lovely. Uplifting and citrus-y. Which, it definitely a good way to start! I'm also singing Defying Gravity under my breath. Don't judge me.

It doesn't TASTE super fruity. But a citrus scent lingers after you swallow, and there is a light citrus flavor that is DEFINITELY there.

But really, what we all really want to know is if you'll get the 'stimulant' part of this tea. Because let's be honest with ourselves, to wake up we'll drink some gross shit.

I definitely feel more awake. And not a "I just injected myself with an espresso" buzz. But a legit awake. Which is a bonus to feel the 'awake' without the caffeine jitters.

It was a good call to drink an entire pot of this this morning.

Although I don't think that I'll buy more, because it's just not the flavors I'm really gunning for. Unless I just got a shitty sample, so this may change when I finish the last part of my sample.

Tata for now!
