Goji Pop

Okay, I'm cheating when it comes to steeping this one. I put it in a bag. I WANTED TO REVIEW BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO CLEAN UP. DON'T JUDGE ME.

Today's review? Goji Pop by DavdsTea.

Since I have a tin of it, it's pretty obvious that I like this tea. As a general rule of thumb, for me, buying 100 grams of tea means it's a keeper.
So I used two scoops of this tea using my David's Perfect Spoon, put them in the DavidsTea drawstring tea filters that I got from Kayla. Steeped it for extra long (aka the bag didn't leave the pot) because, well, it's in the bag and doesn't get to spread out as much.

This tea is sweet, but not too sweet, and quite smooth.  I get a lot of honeydew flavor, but it can change depending on the proportions of fruits you get in each scoop. IT'S LIKE A SURPRISE EVERY TIME. I honestly don't find that it has much of a smell.

Either way, it's a good tea.

Get the good tea.

Much tea. Very good.

Redberry Tonic

Onto Redberry Tonic by, you guessed it, DavidsTea!

I started with one regular scoop using David's Perfect Spoon. Set my kettle to the "herbal tea" setting (200F). Then steeped it for about 4ish minutes. Let it rest for...uhhh...a few minutes? I think?

Generally this tea doesn't have much of a scent when dry. Once brewed, it smells light and fruity. Kinda yummy. It's a pretty pinkish-purple color, which is always nice to see. Some days more pink, some days more purple. This batch was much more purple than another time.

It's generally yummy; a little like miscellaneous berries, a little sweet, a little tart...but pretty bland, honestly. It's the blandness to it that really makes it not worth me owning. I have enough other fruity teas I like more and that, to me, taste better and more complex, that I don't need to take up space! (Remember the January Challenge with Deconstruct the Yuck? Still working on it! Out with the ones I don't need!)

It is good for you, though. That's always a bonus. The sea buckthorn berries, and goji berries, are the two biggest hitters (although sea buckthorn would probably have more benefits when eaten, as opposed brewed as a tea).

So, in the end it is good, and good for you, but too bland for me.

You may like it, you may not.

Drink on my friends!

Bravissimo

Oh Gods.
This fucking tea.

I brewed a cup to taste test it and REALLY didn't like it.
But I have to brew another cup for the review, so I can be more specific than "YUCK" and take pictures.

NEVER SAY I DON'T LOVE YOU GUYS.

Well, on to fucking Bravissimo, by DavidsTea.

So, since I was only making a glass, I used 1.5 tsp, and steeped for about 5 minutes.

When it's steeping, you can pretty much only smell the chamomile. DECEPTION AT IT'S FINEST.
For me, as soon as I swallowed my first sip, I hated it.  I got this horrible sickly sweet licorice-y taste at the back of my throat. It honestly was almost medicinal in flavor.

BUT, if there was no licorice root, which ended up causing such a horrible flavor, it would be a nice tea.

AND it does what it says it does. It does help a throat feel BETTER.

So, if you're WILLING to put up with that for an entire cup, more power to you. I'd rather have Cold 911.

YES THIS WAS DONE IN OCTOBER AND JUST SCHEDULED FOR NOW. SHHHHHHHHHH
