The Brecilian Forest is a dangerous place, full of things that can main and/or kill you. Much like Nettle Leaf from DavidsTea!
I kid, but this tea is hella bitter. Like, it is super good for you, but it tastes like shit. Smelling it can cause you in inhale nettle, which can sting a bit, but it tastes how it smells.

Weird and slightly off putting. Like...it's just so...weird. IT TASTES GOOD FOR YOU. AND NOT IN THE GOOD WAY.

I've been putting off actually steeping the tea to review. I started typing this like...2 weeks before I drank it. The blog says yes, the taste buds say noooooooooooooooooooooooo. SO I DID IT ON HALLOWEEN. Very spoopy. Just like this tea.
Yup. Just as gross as I remember.

If this tea were in the game, I'd give it the the Dahlish in the supply crates at camp. It would strengthen them, and keep it faaaaaaaaar away from me. DWARVES NEED HEARTIER THINGS (read: something that doesn't taste gross).

And yes, Alistair and my Warden are a couple now. A loving, caring couple. I GOT MY ROSE MOTHER FUCKERS.

Berry Good

Berry good, is BERRY good! Hahaha. Ha...ha. Shut up it's funny to me.

Seriously, this is a nice tea so long as you steep it properly. For 30 seconds. Otherwise it tastes like salty fruit water and is amazingly disgusting.
When steeped for 30 seconds, it tastes like how it smells, but less sweet.

If you already own it, and haven't tried it, do so now. If you do own it and have been steeping it wrong, try it the correct way.

It's, overall and very amazing and delicious tea!

TOO BAD IT'S NOT (at least currently) IN THE DT ONLINE STORE.

WHY DO YOU GET RID OF THE REALLY AMAZING TEAS DT???? WHY

Kanpe

Kanpe! A tea by DavidsTea that was a limited edition, and is no longer out on their website at least. 

And, is one of the reasons why I am not buying any Sweet Apple Cider! Kanpe basically tastes like apple cider, and is this beautiful, blood orange color! The other reason is this.

It's a gross, wet, dreary day. Perfect for hot apple cider Kanpe! 

I used two scoops, because I like it fairly strong. I wish there was more cinnamon in it, but that is an easy remedy if I put my mind to it. I steeped it for about 5 minutes.

It's a little light, but sweet, kinda creamy, apple-y, and yummy.

I pity those who never got to try it's apple cider-y flavor, and it makes me understand why people are getting the apple cider tea (although the apple cider I put in the clicky up top is amazing and I say go with that)

White Tiger

This tea is discontinued. So no matter what I think, I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET ANY MORE. DavidsTea has a thing against good white tea I guess

White Tiger by DavidsTea smells divine. Like holy shit. I stepped it for a few minutes, and used 1.5 scoops with the DT scoop. Because I'm hella predictable and hella lazy. I then let it sit until cool enough to drink...so like, 5 minutes?

And holy shit. I regret drinking this tea.

Because it is so. Fucking. Good. Holy shit. It's sweet and light and has a bit of a bite to it. It isn't as good as Sweet Strawberry, thankfully, but it is really really good.

Like ugh.



I just can't deal with THIS white tea being discontinued too! UUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Sweet Strawberry

White tea, strawberries, rosehips, 

white Silver Needles, hibiscus, stevia, natural flavouring

This tea is basically its name.

Sweet Strawberry by DavidsTea is a white tea. A light, beautiful, white tea.

So I started with one heaping scoop of tea using David's Perfect Spoon. Set my kettle to the "white tea" setting (185F). Then steeped it for about 4 minutes. Let it rest for about 4 minutes. Then started drinking. (I finished the entire pot)






Now, you all know by now how I like a really strong tea, but this light tea is just so nice. I always need to have some hanging around.

When you smell it, you'll know how it tastes. It doesn't taste as strong as it smells, but it tastes the same. Every time you take a sip, you smell the strawberries, taste the strawberries with a gentle backer of the white tea. So light, sweet, but in a light way.

This tea would be amazing, amazing, iced on a hot summer day.




As you can see, this tea leaves me feeling excited. It's just so nice.

Now excuse me while I go enjoy my strawberry bliss, which you should enjoy too. So should your friends. So should your family. Coworkers. Everyone. :|

EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. BECAUSE OF STUPID REASONS NO DOUBT.

Banana Dream Pie

Let me start off with this will probably turn into hate speech against this tea. You all have been warned.

I really, REALLY don't recommend steeping this in water THEN adding milk. It just tastes...wrong. Too strong. Too bitter. So, if you are going to steep it, just steep it straight in milk. Trust me. It tastes better.

For one, not enough banana. Like, they fucking skimped out! I have gone to the store to see how expensive huge amounts of large bulk slices of banana are...and it is really cheap. I mean, c'mon! DT, you are just being cheap as fuck.
Number two, the cocoa nibs just really fucking kill the white chocolate. Why not, instead of cocoa nibs (I've never had a banana cream pie with those in it!), put in say, white chocolate and some vanilla yogurt stuff? Or white chocolate and some vanilla bean? You know, shit that makes some fucking sense with bananas. Or a tea trying to mimic banana cream pie.

BUT, it did taste better than their Pure Chai (I can only speak for Pure Chai, not any of the other Chai from DT)

When steeped in straight milk, it taste very creamy, and very rich, and quite chocolatey. I literally got through maybe, MAYBE 1 cup of it. I actually felt a little gross after, so I made some Organic Detox tea to feel better. Like it doesn't taste BAD...but it doesn't really taste good either.

3/10. Would not buy. I regret my choice to pay for 50g of it.

PS. If you own it and haven't tried it, follow these steps. I just asked DT about it being available, and it's apparently part of the Winter 2012 collection and no longer able to be bought. Which is weird...since I bought way, way after.

So, I have a terrible habit of reviewing davidstea teas that are discontinued right after I buy them, apparently. I'm sorry!

I enjoyed this tea (steeped for three minutes - ONE MINUTE TOO LONG) with my dinner of chicken-stuffed Chinese sweetbuns. Excellent pairing. But I was really impressed by this tea. I wasn't expecting much, but I really, really like it.

(I'm trying not to make you envious... I'M SORRY!!!)

Sencha with a punch of nutty-ness and super smooth.

I won't rant and rave about how much that I love this tea... because you can't have any.
I'M SORRY

Try and hunt down this tea at your local tea shop. Seriously. Do it.

Sweet Strawberry

Sweet Strawberry from DavidsTea

Ingredients: White tea, strawberries, rosehips, white silver needles, hibiscus, stevia, natural flavouring.


As gorgeous as that spoonful may look, that is about every single spoonful you will get; lots of strawberry, so very very little tea. But it smells like beautiful, juicy strawberries and it just makes your mouth water, like hot strawberry jam in a bowl of porridge. I would say this is more of an herbal tea than white, but I may add some white peony to it, as I have much to spare and it could really give this tea more... tea... But, perhaps I just got shafted on the tea.

I'm quite proud of this one! Pretty!

It tastes primarily of strawberries with a slight hint of rosehips. I can't even taste the tea. 
That isn't to say there isn't something sweetly delicious about it, but I wish I was tasting tea before the fruit. Come on! It's the MAIN ingredient listed on the tin!!
I am a little disappointed, tea wise... But it is amazing. And I use a spoonful in every fruit iced tea batch that I make.

 And holy shit, does it ever smell good! I want to make a perfume or shampoo of this smell, BATHE in this tea!

If fruit teas are your thing, wow! This is for you. Strawberry heaven.
